“To achieve this unique sense of vintage elegance, the team needed to find the perfect wedding venue with a lot of that regal authenticity. They chose Villa di Maiano in Florence, Italy. The Villa dates back to the 1400s and still has some original tapestries and wallpaper. With the venue chosen, it was necessary to create a floral design that emphasized the opulence and romance of that period. They designed something lush and colorful, matching the Era’s amazing fashion. Every facet of this editorial was intentionally chosen to further elevate the sense of romance. From the pink floral stationery with torn-edges, the 3D wedding cake, to the off-shoulder laced wedding gown, everything helped breathe further enchantment into the design.”

“I designed and named this editorial "A Midsummer Night's Dream," inspired by Shakespeare's play as well as the ballet adaptation. We used purple, orange, pink, and lots of greens to really tease out the dreamy forest landscape of the story. The florals were lush, again, emphasizing the almost fairytale idea of the shoot. I wanted the audience to walk into this floral wedding dream with me.”

The team’s blue use is inspired by the Mediterranean Sea, which is a significant part of the venue.”

“Villa Cimbrone is a historic building-turned-luxury-hotel in Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast of southern Italy. Dating from at least the 11th century AD, it is famous for its original architectural and decorative features. It’s also the PERFECT place for a fairytale wedding, once we all get back to world travel! This styled shoot is a wonderful dreamy reminder of all that’s waiting for us around the globe. We wanted to do something fairytale-inspired on the Infinity Terrace at Villa Cimbrone,” says Paulina Corvi of Events by Paulina. “I always loved Sleeping Beauty, when the fairy godmothers are creating her gown for her, and they are fighting over pink or blue. When it comes to fairytales, pinks and blues really do come to my mind, so that was a big driver of the inspiration going into this shoot.”
