creating A BETTER WORLD TOGETHER

Our Vow to Help End Child-Marriage

VOW for Girls is a global movement and non-profit organization with the mission to end the international child marriage crisis.

  • The fact is, 1 in 5 girls in the world is married as a child. Oftentimes, poverty or bleak financial outlook force families to marry off their young daughters to put food on the table. If the current trends on child marriage continue, 120 million more girls will be married in childhood by 2030.

  • 100% of funds raised by VOW go directly to effective local organizations that advance girls’ rights by providing them with education, job training, and vital life skills.

  • Education and job training allow these girls to earn their own money, potentially become financially independent, and avoid the faith of being “sold” as a child bride to support their families. It gives them a chance of owning their futures.

Here at Paulina Yeh Events, we believe that love should be a choice, not a financial decision, and we are committed to the cause of ending child marriage with VOW. As part of our commitment, we will donate $181 for every new wedding couple we bring on as clients.

  • This is enough to cover all of one girls’ costs to attend school for a year, including everything from school fees to supplies and transportation.

  • The donation will be made directly from our paid wedding planning and design fees (without incurring additional cost to our clients), and the donation certificate will be made out to both Paulina Yeh Events as well as the wedding couple.

  • Other brands and companies that have also made this VOW to end child marriage include Crate & Barrel, eBay, Viktor & Rolf, and The Peninsula Hotels. Learn more about how you can make a difference here.

  • By raising funds and awareness, together, we can end child marriage in our lifetime.
